John Williams court record and account book, 1816-1822, 1832-1838.

A record book kept by a Wethersfield, Connecticut, justice of the peace and farmer. The first pages of the volume contain an index, then a docket of cases in which judgments had been rendered. A number of pages later are financial accounts, 1832-1838, which include Enos Porter building a fence, Walter Butler shingling the stable, and Thomas Williams attending Hartford Grammar School. The entries mention E.B. Stedman a lumber merchant, Russell's tan works, Dr. Archibald Welch, and wharfage costs for various vessels. The final portion of the volume contain court proceedings, 1816-1822.
